Let me introduce myself. My name is Jo Neal and I am 50 years young. I am married to Kevin who is a Police Officer in Bridgwater. We have 3 lovely, very lively, Border Collies, Oliver, Tara and our puppy Blade. Tara was a rescues, Oliver we have had since he was 7 weeks old and Blade since he was 6 weeks old. Kevin fortunately loves dogs as much as I do so our marriage isn't too crowded with five of us in it!
I grew up with dogs as my Mother has always owned and trained dogs. Mum and I compete in Competitive Dog Obedience my Mother works 3 Border Collies and I work Oliver and Blade. Most weekends during the summer months will find us travelling near and far to compete in this discipline.
We train our dogs with reward and play based training, no harsh methods are ever used and our dogs are happy, well behaved, individuals. My Mother and I have both competed at Crufts and Mum won the Bitch Obedience Championships in 2013. I hope to follow in her foot steps with Oliver, who is a superb obedience worker.
I was a manager for an Airline company which I loved, I was with this company for eighteen years. It was a huge step for me to decide to work for myself but I so love dogs and the outside life I felt if I didn't have a go when I did, I never would, hence,
Jo's K9 walks!
